You and I
I've come across a tragic place
where you and I both met
Between the words and angered slurs
it seemed as fate were set
But my love for you will shine on through
till one day you will see
That despite those words and angered slurs
we are meant to be.
The darkness it surrounds me
I feel so out of touch
with every move I make
it doesn't seem like much
So I sit and I wonder
alone in my dismay
to hear more than a whisper
I've got to get away
Run to that place of sanctity
I feel its not to far
but steps they grow much closer
like every painful scar
I travel and I search
it sometimes takes me days
but then I hear that whisper
I've got to get away
The subtle effects of poison
as it clouds your precious thoughts
every door you've walked through
it leads to one more spot
the storm outside grows frightening
it does nothing but replays
that ever growing whisper
I've got to
Dear Reader,
I haven't forgotten what I love, nor do I think what I love has forgotten me. However, it seems as if sometimes we place things on hold as to maintain that spark that keeps that love alive. To imagine that one moment everything is going the way you had always pictured it. Yet, in one flash, your whole world is flipped upside down. An alternate feeling, something completely unexpected. Surprises like these appear constantly around us and all I can say is I'm glad. I'm glad for the joy that it may bring. For its been too long since I felt the joy of such unexpected love. The love we create, envision, and respect. Such love that is
Verse 1:
I've watched the sun rise, with just you and me
Isn't this romantic, baby can't you see
Sometimes we grow, closer than the start
Full of potential, yet never knowing who we are
Verse 2:
I've filled your life full, of laughter and joy
Made you feel special, never just a toy
But everything's harder, were falling apart
There's no more laughter, just a broken down heart
Chorus:
So what am I suppose to do with the things you're telling me
I've been down this road before and it never ends happily
I wish things could have changed, yet they never seem to do
So here I am for ever all alone, now crying over you
Verse 3:

I love football, playing guitar, and taking pictures. Long walks on the beach are optional.
